VPI HW-16.5 Record Cleaner Upgraded by VPI w/Bidirectional Motor

For your consideration, we have an upgraded legendary V.P.I. HW 16.5 Record Cleaner for sale. This is an early model cleaner in very good condition. This unit was my father's that he purchased in the late 80's or early 90's. He never used it, not even once. I took ownership in 2013 and in 2015 I went to visit VPI and I had them do an update to it. Matt replaced the original motor with their high torque 18 RPM forward and reverse turntable motor. He installed an upgraded metal internal brace/motor bracket,  new capacitor, new front switches to allow for forward and reverse, and a new cork mat. Since then, the unit has been lightly used, and as stated it in very good condition, with no dings or deep scratches. The cover is in very good condition as well, with light swirl marks, and a ring mark where it sits on the suction tube when closed. 

The unit comes with the record clamp, cleaning brush, suction tube, and a newly installed drain tube and clamp.

We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
