For your consideration we have a Symetrix 528E Mic Preamp. We obtained several of these units from a large radio broadcast studio that was sold. All pots and switches were cleaned and then treated with Deoxit F5 and D5 respectively. The Line and Mic inputs were tested and they are in working condition. The only issue is that we found was the Output gain control is a bit "wobbly", and while it works and is quiet, it will  most likely need to be addressed as some point. Physically, the unit has some scuffs and scratches that come from the working environment that it was in, but there are no dents or signs that the unit was mishandled. See pictures for further information on the physical condition.

The Symetrix 528e is a preamp, compressor, and de-esser designed for use in broadcast and professional audio applications. It is a rack-mountable unit that features balanced inputs and outputs, a selectable high-pass filter, and adjustable gain, compression, and de-essing controls.

The 528e includes a high-quality microphone preamp with switchable phantom power, making it suitable for use with both dynamic and condenser microphones. The built-in compressor can be used to smooth out the levels of a recording or to add some subtle coloration to the sound, while the de-esser helps to reduce sibilance and other high-frequency noise.

Other features of the Symetrix 528e include LED level meters, a bypass switch for easy comparison of processed and unprocessed audio, and a link jack for stereo operation. The unit is designed for use in a variety of settings, including radio and television studios, post-production facilities, and live sound applications.
