Here is one of two Sony TA-N55ES Amplifiers that we recently took in. This N55ES is in very good physical condition. There are a few small marks on the wood panels, but the Amplifier presents itself extremely well. We put the Amp on our bench and it performed as it should. Upon further inspection we noticed that the tops of the Main filter capacitors were swollen, and while they were still measuring within spec, we obviously needed to replace them. We serviced the Amp and replaced the Main filter capacitors using modern High Temperature Rubycon Electrolytics. We have enjoyed this amp playing in our listening room for the past week along with a Sony TA-E77ESD PREAMPLIFIER that we acquired with this amp. This TA-N55ES is up to spec and ready for its new owner.
We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, polystyrene, and or instapak when boxing up our gear for shipping.
