Sansui BA-2000 Power Amplifier

For sale we have a great example of a Sansui BA-2000 Power Amplifier. The unit is in very good cosmetic and working condition. All pots and switches have been cleaned and treated with the appropriate Deoxit. The Bias current and the Power meters have been adjusted to factory specifications. On our bench, we hooked the unit up to a Sencore PA81 Stereo Stereo Power Amplifier Analyzer acting as a dummy load and an Oscilloscope as the interface. Using an audio generator, we ran a 1k signal through the amps input, slowly increasing the amplitude while monitoring the output on our oscilloscope for signs of noise, clipping, distortion, or improper channel balance. Both channels tested clean on the scope. The amp is conservatively rated at 110 watts per channel, and produced a clean signal at 110 watts per channel. We ran the unit in one of our house system for a week, to make sure it continued to perform as it should. It performed flawlessly. 

Cosmetically there are some scratches, and scuffs on the amp shroud. The faceplate is also in very good condition, with only minor blemishes. The end caps have some scratches, but overall the unit presents itself extremely well. It's a great looking piece, and the blue lit meters are pretty cool. 

This large, heavy amp will be carefully packed using an oversized heavy duty box. The amp will be surrounded on all sides with several inches of polyethylene foam, and the box will be sealed with water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams. Finally the unit will be strapped four time for added strength.
