For sale, we have a fine example of the Rotel RMB-1066 Six Channel Amplifier. Rated at 60 Watts per channel at 8 Ohms, the amplifier is in perfect working order. Physically, the unit is in excellent condition, with only minor blemishes. There are no dents or scratches, as the amp was well cared for. This amp is very versatile, and can be configure in 6, 5, 4, or 3 channel operation. It's capable of pushing 60 watts x 6 channels into 8 ohms (at 20-20 kHz, < 0.03% THD) with ease, or 150 watts x 3 channels into 8 ohms (at 20-20 kHz, < 0.1% THD) in bridged mono mode.
On our bench, we opened the amp where it passed our visual inspection. Capacitors looked good with no bulging or signs of leakage. Resistors showed no signs of cracking or overheating, and the transistors showed no signs of damage. All switches on the back panel were cleaned and then treated with Deoxit. We then tested the amp using our Sencore PA81 amplifier analyzer. We ran a 1k sine wave into the amp, and on our scope each channel showed a clean wave. The amp easily tested clean at 60 watts per channel, and did not start clipping until 70 watts. With the amp testing as it should, we then ran the unit in our house system for about a week testing all six channels. It's a great sounding, amp,. We have had quite a few Rotel amps come through our shop, and we love this era of production.

We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.

The RMB-1066 multi-channel power amplifier is an enormously flexible unit intended primarily for use in surround systems and home audio distribution. The power supply and output circuits are configured for exceptional reserve capability and stability. In
six channel mode, the RMB-1066 delivers 60 watts RMS each (20 Hz to 20 kHz @ 0.03% THD into 8 ohms). In five channel mode (one channel quiescent), power increases to 70 watts RMS, each measured by the same demanding standards. Amplifier pairs can be bridged to develop 150 watts x 3 for almost half a kilowatt of output power. Three rear panel switches (one two-way and two three-way) make bridging easy and also link the inputs via internal “daisy chain” connections with a single source, thus simplifying system wiring. Buffered line level outputs allow multiple amplifiers to “daisy chain” from a single source. Input level controls, strategically placed between front panel heat sink fins and an extensive 6 LED indicator array ease system adjustment and monitoring. 12 volt trigger operation and a detachable IEC power cord directly address demanding custom installation requirements while custom brass speaker terminals provide full contact power transfer.
