From the heyday of great receivers we have a Pioneer SX-1050 for sale. We acquired this unit from the original owner when we purchased his enormous Jazz LP collection. We went through and serviced the unit. An LED conversion of the 13 bulbs was done to the unit. Capacitors were replaced in the power supply board. All switches and potentiometers were cleaned and treated with Deoxit. The Volume potentiometer was removed serviced and replaced. We ran the unit on our bench where it performed beautifully. FM reception was very good, we ran through all the inputs and they all worked as they should. The two phono sections performed flawlessly as well. We moved the unit into our listening area and ran it for about a week to give it a real life workout. There are some scratches and small nicks on the faceplate, as well as the rest of the body. On top of the unit there is a noticeable scratch in the wood as well as light scratches on the top of the faceplate. However, it is a beautiful piece that shows very, very well especially considering its age.If you are into these vintage silver faced receivers like we are, then you would be proud to own it.
