Simaudio Moon 380D V1 DAC w/MiND 1 Streamer, Volume Control, Remote

For your consideration, we have a Simaudio Moon 380D DAC V1 version. There were two options when the 380D was release, and this unit has both. The first option is the MiND (Moon intelligent Network Device) network streaming board, and the second is the variable outputs volume control board, which allows the unit to be used as a preamplifier, and if the user is only running digital sources, it negates the need for a separate preamp. 

Solidly built, like all Simaudio Moon gear, the 380D is in perfect working order. We found the unit easy to use, and it sounded wonderful. The MiND app worked well, and we enjoyed the many radio stations we were able to choose from. 

The unit is in very good condition, with only minor blemishes, and no dents or deep scratches. There are a number of small splatter dots on the faceplate that we could not remove. We initially did not notice them, but they are visible. With this being said, the unit presents itself very well. Designed around our M-AJiC32 circuitry (an asynchronous jitter elimination system) performing in true 32-bit fully asynchronous mode, the MOON 380D featured the SABRE32 Ultra DAC operating in 32-bit Hyperstream™ where the conversion process used an astonishing 8 DAC's per channel. Raising the bar further, there were eight (8) digital inputs covering the full gamut of connections - AES/EBU, S/PDIF, Optical and USB. All of these inputs accepted a signal up to 24-bit/192kHz resolution. Finally, there was a full digital monitor loop (S/PDIF) to accommodate external devices such as a room correction component.

Enhancing this Digital-to-Analog Converter were two (2) separate options; (i) The MOON MiND music streamer module which is actually a 9th digital input via Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection, and (ii) a high quality remote-controlled volume circuit feeding both balanced (XLR) and single-ended ( RCA) analog outputs. The 380D was targeted at individuals with computer-based audio setups, large digital music collections or multiple digital sources.

The unit includes the original double boxes with packaging, original remote, and an ac cord. We will triple the boxes for added protection during shipping.
