Melos SHA-1 Line Stage Preamp/Headphone Amplifier

For sale we have a rare Melos SHA-1 Line Stage Hybrid Vacuum tube preamp and Headphone amplifier. This unit was purchased new by the original owner along with a pair of Grado HP1000 HP1 Signature Headphones. The owner used the setup a few times and then put it in his closet where it sat for the last 35 years. The unit has been fully tested, and it is in perfect working order. The switches were cleaned and treated with Deoxit D5, while the highly regarded Black Beauty Alps volume pot needs no cleaning. The tubes tested strong on our Amplitrex AT 1000 tube tester. While the unit was purchased for its headphone amp, we found the linestage preamp to sound exceptional. 

Physically the unit is in excellent condition with only some light scratches on the top, rear of the unit. There are no dents or dings, and only minor blemishes. Please see the many pictures in the listing for further details.

We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use a heavy duty box, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
