McIntosh MCD 500 SACD/CD Player w/Remote, Box, Serviced

For sale we have a one owner, barely used Mcintosh MCD 50 SACD/CD Player. The unit came in a system with an Audio Research preamp, with only 70 hours of use on the internal tube hour clock.

The 500 is a versatile unit that can be used as a preamp with its variable outputs controlled by a volume knob on the front panel. Both the variable and fixed outputs have the choice of Balanced XLR, or Unbalanced RCA jacks. The unit promptly reads both SACD, and Redbook CDs. The tray/drawer is very responsive with the new belts we installed. The player spent it's life in a custom cabinet and it shows, as there are no visible blemishes that we could find. We serviced the unit and installed new belts that we sourced directly from Mcintosh. While the original remote was never used, the rubber coating turned sticky with time as all the remotes from this era did. We sourced a new upgraded HR086 remote directly from Mcintosh. The MCD 500 comes with the original owner's manual, upgraded remote, AC cord, and will ship in a Mcintosh factory fresh double box.
