Mark Levinson Dual Monaural Preamplifier No.26 FOR PARTS

This unit is being sold as is/for parts or repair. We took this Mark Levinson 26 preamp in on a trade. This is the highly desired Phono version of the No.26 preamplifier. Our client had gotten a stereo system from a friends widow and he forgot to take the power supply. Internally the 26 is in very good condition. We found no signs of swollen or leaky capacitors, and no signs of heat stressed resistors. (see internal photos of preamp). We were able to borrow a PLS-226 Power supply from a colleague in order to test the preamp. We confirmed that the unit is in working condition. All inputs were tested, including the phono section which will run MC and MM cartridges. We were unable to test the Stereo/Mono switch as the shaft is broken off. The unit is being sold as is, as it has the following issues:

• Missing Input selector knob
• Input selector shaft is short, as it was sheared off. The switch works, however it will need to be replaced in order to install the correct knob.
• Missing Stereo/Mono knob
• Stereo/Mono selector switch shaft is broken off. A new switch will need to be installed.
• Missing external power supply and cord.
  

Aside from the physical issue already mentioned, the unit has many scuffs, scratches, nicks, and blemishes. However, the faceplate is in pretty good shape. It's a great sounding unit. Please see the many pictures of the unit, both external and internal for further details. 

We don't have the original box for the preamplifier, however we will package it with great care using a heavy duty box, and polyethylene foam. We spare no expense in materials, and spend the time to pack gear properly.
