Linn LP12 Turntable w/Linn Ittok LV II Serviced

Always desired by audiophiles, the Linn Sondek LP 12 has stood the test of time. Here we have a fine example of the LP12 paired with the Linn Ittok LV II tonearm mounted with a Sumiko Blue Point 1 cartridge from the original owner. While the turntable was in working order when it arrived, we serviced the unit as follows:

• Recapped the power supply. The unit was slow to start up. We found two faulty caps, and recapped the entire board. We also replaced resistors as needed. 
• New dust cover hinges. The originals were worn and had cracks and had no tension.
• New armboard from Audio Classique. The original had too many blemishes, so we upgraded the board. 
• New suspension springs were installed, and adjusted. The original springs were a bit tired.
• We installed a Trampoline base, which is a major upgrade from the original. 
• Cleaned bearing reservoir, and installed new bearing fluid.

Physically the table is in very good condition. There are some blemishes and marks on the plinth however there are no dings or deep scratches. The outer platter has some marks and blemishes on the top, but they are only cosmetic and don't affect the performance. Also, they are covered with the turntable mat. The outer The dust cover is fully intact, and is clear. It has some light scratches and swirl marks, but it presents well. The table overall as a unit presents very well. We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use oversized, heavy duty, double walled boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
