For sale we have a pair of consecutive serial numbers Linn AV 5140 full range, floor standing speakers in Black. They are both in perfect working order and sound wonderful. These speakers are tri-wireable, and come with the factory jumper plates on the binding posts. The speakers do have some cosmetic wear, but are structurally intact. There are some scuffs, blemishes, and nicks in the veneer, overall they present themselves extremely well. After we cleaned it, one of the rear firing woofers still has some spots of something that splashed on them at some point. It has no effect on the performance of the speaker, as the cone and surrounds are in excellent condition. The grills are included but they were never used or installed on the speakers. Both sides of each of the factory velcro strips are still on the grills, as they were never peeled and installed. We share the same opinion as the original owner that they look and perform better without them.
Included with the speakers are the uninstalled grills, factory bases, and eight original spikes. The speakers will ship in two separate boxes. Depending on how we decide to pack the speakers, we might need to remove bases to ship. There are four 7mm allen bolts in each base that hold them on and they are simple to reinstall. Each box will weigh about 65 pounds.
Shipping to the lower 48 US is included in the purchase price. While we don't have the original boxes for the units, we assure you they will be packed with great care. The speakers ship separately in heavy duty boxes, with several inches of polystyrene foam on all sides of the units. They will be sealed on all seams with fiber reinforced, water activated tape. Finally the boxes will be strapped for added protection.
