JBL 4311 WXA Monitor Speakers

For sale, we have an extremely beautiful pair of JBL 4311 WXA consecutive numbered monitors. Serial numbers are 30529 & 30530.  We originally went to pick up a pair of speakers at a large apartment in NYC. While there, there was a movie/stereo room that had an old custom built in system that was installed in the early 1970's . At the top of the wall unit there were speakers behind the custom install. We unscrewed the panels, and we found these speakers sitting behind. They had not been touched or seen the light of day since they were originally installed.  

The speakers are all original, and are in working order. All drivers are in excellent condition, and the Presence and Brilliance controls are working as they should. 

We needed to change out the foam rings around the tweeters. The originals dried out and disintegrated upon touch, which is normal due to their age. We included before and after pictures in the listing of the tweeter surrounds. Also of note, there were small passive filter boxes on the back of the two speakers attached by the original installers. We removed the boxes and filled the two small holes.

Physically, the speakers are in excellent condition. cabinets are in great shape, with only minor blemishes. The grills are intact and are in excellent condition as well. The veneer is just beautiful, and these are by far the best all original example of 4311's that we have ever come by. Please see the many pictures for further details. 

We don't have the original boxes for the speakers, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use oversized, heavy duty, double walled boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the units, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
