Classé Audio CAV 150 Six Channel Amplifier Fully Recapped/Serviced

This extremely well built Classe CAV Model 150 amplifier comes from the original owner. Like all Classe amps, this is a beautiful sounding unit. At 150 Watts per channel x 6 channels, or 300 Watts per channel x 3 channels, it has plenty of power. 

On our bench the amp worked flawlessly. However, upon opening the amp, we noticed two of the filter caps had a slight bulge in them. There were no signs of heat stress to any of the components, and the unit was extremely clean on the inside. Due to the age of the amp, we decided to do a full recap, and replaced the 28 filter capacitors as well as the caps on each amp card, and the rectifier. We then biased the the amp to factory spec. I can't say enough about the build quality of the amp, and it was just a pleasure to work on. We then ran the amp in our house system for one week. We enjoyed the setup immensely. This amp should be good for at least the next 20 years. 

Physically the unit is in excellent condition both inside and out. There might be minor blemishes, however there are no dents, dings or deep scratches. The unit came out of a pristine, dedicated listening/movie room and was well cared for. Please see the many pictures in the listing for further details. 

An ac cord will be included with the amp. 

We don't have the original box for the amp, however we will package the unit with great care using a heavy duty box, and polyethylene foam. We spare no expense in materials, and spend the time to pack gear properly.
