Cambridge Audio Azur 840C Upsampling CD Player w/Remote Serviced

For sale, we have a Cambridge Audio Azur 840C Upsampling CD Player, with the original remote. The unit is in excellent working order, the transport is responsive, and the display is clear. This is a very well made unit. 

We obtained the unit in a collection. On our bench, the transport worked quickly, and smoothly. The digital and optical outputs functioned as they should. The analog outputs, both RCA, and XLR had some distortion in the right channel. Upon review, we discovered that this is a common problem in these players. As per Cambridge Audio, we replaced the specified six capacitors that were failing, (three on each channel) with Nichicon caps, and it solved the issue. We found two of the six capacitors were way out of spec. 

The unit is in very good physical condition with some scuffs and blemishes, most notably on the top of the unit.  There are no deep scratches, or dents on the unit. The original remote is included and is in working order. Please see the many pictures in the listing for further details.

We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
