BSG Technologies QOL Signal Completion Stage

    Regular price $1,050.00

For your consideration, we have a BSG QOL Completion Stage in perfect working order, and in excellent physical condition with only minor blemishes. The unit have unbalanced connections, and fully balanced connections as well. The unit was highly reviewed when it came out, and it was a class A rated unit. See the many pictures in the listing for further details.

The unit comes with an AC cord, and it will be carefully packed in a heavy duty box, with several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit.

See more information below from BSG Technologies, as well as some excerpts of reviews.

    From BSG Technologies:

The bsg technologies qøl™ Signal Completion Stage is a new
technology and an entirely new category of component. It is an addition to
existing systems, not a replacement of any equipment. It is built to the
highest standards of audiophiles and music lovers, with features that make it
versatile and compatible with all components, cables and systems. A huge step
toward realism, naturalism and enjoyment, our patent-pending qøl™ technology is
the most significant advance in audio in decades. For the first time,
fundamental elements of sound, previously hidden and buried in all audio
signals, can now be retrieved and reproduced (see below for additional description of this technology).

    Design Features:

    • All analog
    • Reveals information that, until now, has remained hidden and buried in all audio signals
    • No processing or synthesizing of "fake" sound
    • Reproduction of sonic information that previously was locked inside signals and could not be reproduced
    • Built to "high-end" audio standards
    • Rigid custom chassis
    • Thick, brushed aluminum faceplate
    • Operates in both stereo and mono
    • World-wide, user adjustable voltage settings
    • Four sets of analog inputs, each both single-ended RCA and balanced XLR
    • Two sets of analog outputs, each both single-ended RCA and balanced XLR
    • Low power consumption

    Robert Harley from TAS said:

"I realize that the BSG Technologies Signal Completion Stage will be controversial, and that I’m going out on a limb with my enthusiasm for it. Frankly, it seems too good to be true. But try as I might to discover something about the sound that was antithetical to high-end values, I couldn’t." "Only a few people so far have heard the Signal Completion Stage in their own systems, but I’ve had conversations and e-mail exchanges with one of them, a 40-year industry veteran, whose reaction was identical to mine right down the line, from the initial skepticism, to our specific listening impressions, to the desire to keep the Signal Completion Stage in our respective systems."

    Stereophile summed with:

"I liked what it did to every recording I played through it. So much of the live event doesn't make it through to a two-channel recording, and the Signal Completion Stage usefully increased stereo's sense of envelopment. The answer to the fundamental question a reviewer must ask—"Does the product make the sound better?"—is an unequivocal "Yes."

    Stereotimes said:
"As it stands now, my smaller rig is a beneficiary of all the sonic improvements the qøl has to offer. It’s true, I think that $4,000 is a lot to ask for any component that ultimately qualifies as a tweak — especially without the opportunity of hearing it. But once you do hear it, you might find yourself surprised that this particular “tweak” is an actually necessity! Highly recommended!

    Soundstage summed with:

"BSG’s qøl processing is not available from any other component in your system. If you upgrade from a $1000 amp to a $20,000 amp, you still won’t get the expanded and enhanced sound you get from the qøl. If you want this sound, there’s only one place to get it, and that’s from the qøl Signal Completion Stage. I would probably be wildly enthusiastic about the qøl processor if it were a much simpler, $1000 product without a thick aluminum faceplate, a remote control, and multiple inputs and outputs.

“That said, what the qøl does is very difficult to give up once you’ve heard it. I’ve never heard anything that does what the qøl Signal Completion Stage does at any price. Some will consider $3995 a bargain -- they might upgrade from $15,000 speakers to $50,000 speakers and still not hear the things the qøl does. But for many, the price of admission is high enough to put the qøl out of reach. That’s a shame, and something that might change in the future. BSG Technologies reps told me that they’d like to license the qøl technology to other manufacturers to incorporate in preamps, or even in multichannel audio products. Bring it on! Qøl processing is so good that it deserves to be in everyone’s system."

This product is currently Class A rated in Stereophile and also received excellent reviews in The Absolute Sound as well as many other publications. All at its $3995.00 retail price.

    More From BSG:

Thank you for your interest in bsg technologies, llc, and our q∅l™Signal Completion Stage.

We believe our new product creates a whole new category of component, one that is revolutionary in the
realism and naturalism it brings to audio. In nature, sound consists of three key elements: MAGNITUDE, often called Amplitude—its gradations, maximums and minimums; FREQUENCY—the treble, midrange and bass fundamentals, together with all their harmonics; and PHASE—the cues that tell us the direction and distance from which sound is coming, the acoustic signature of the space where it is made, which source is closer than another, as they exist in space and time and change as sound changes—in short, the “geography of sound.”

All these elements interact and are instantly interpreted by the human ear/brain combination. If that ability were not “hard wired” into the human auditory system, cavemen would have had difficulty determining which way to run when hunting or being hunted.

Electronics do not work like the human ear/brain. As a result of cancellation effects within electronics, the phase information is not reproduced. In an over-simplified analysis this is as basic as the fact that, in algebra, +1 and -1 = 0, not 2; in physics, likewise, for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.

Thus, no matter how well audio products reproduce frequencies and magnitude (and these days, many of them do very well), we will be robbed of realism and naturalism unless the phase information within all signals can also be reproduced. If the phase information is missing or otherwise distorted, the sounds to be reproduced will likewise be incomplete, distorted and unrealistic.

The only way to get natural, complete information requires uncovering and reproducing the natural phase
information that has been hidden and buried in every signal, but, until now, not retrieved and reproduced by electronics. After more than seven years of research and experimentation, we have succeeded in uncovering and reproducing the information that has been hidden and buried within every audio signal!

For the first time, ALL the fundamental elements of sound can be retrieved and reproduced. Because it will enable us to hear all elements of sound through electronics for the first time, bsg technologies’ patent pending q∅l™ technology is the most significant advance in audio in decades.

You are about to embark on a new journey into sound and music. We hope you will enjoy it as much as
we do, but first…Please take a little time to read this Owner’s Manual before proceeding with installation and operation of your q∅l™ Signal Completion Stage. We have built it with extreme care. Your understanding of installation and operation will assure you of the high performance for which the product was designed.
