Aragon 4004 Mark II Dual Mono Power Amplifier

For your consideration, we have a superb Aragon 4004 Mark II Dual Mono Amplifier for sale. The unit is in perfect working order, and sounds excellent. An extremely well made and well designed amp, it's the first one to come through our shop. With its stacked, beefy toroidal transformers, and separate amp modules, the amp is well laid out. In doing research, I discovered (which many probably already know) that the amp was designed by Dan D'Agostino. While the unit was in working order when it came in, we still thoroughly went through it on our bench.

• We cleaned the amp inside and out
• Carefully inspected the amp for any signs of heat stressed resistors or swollen caps. There were none.
• Set the bias to factory spec
• Set the DC offset 
• Tested clean at over 200 watts per channel at 8 ohms on our Sencore PA81

After putting it through its paces on our bench, we ran the amp in one of our house systems, and we really enjoyed it. No wonder this amp is well regarded.

Physically the amp is in very good condition. There are some blemishes that can be seen in the pictures. However, there are no dents or dings, and the unit was well cared for. The amp presents itself very well. 

We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense, use heavy duty boxes, and polyethylene foam when boxing up our gear for shipping.
