For sale, we have a fine example of the Tandberg TCD 420A 3 Motor Dual Capstan Stereo Cassette Deck. We purchased this deck in a collection of an audio enthusiast. The unit is in very good cosmetic condition, with only minor scuffs and blemishes. See the attached images in the listing for further details on physical condition. The unit had been in use by the previous owner, prior to his passing, and is in working order. We are huge fans of Tandberg cassette decks, and this one does not disappoint. The unit can be laid flat, or using the included Tandberg feet, it can be stood up. The unit had been used in the standing position by the previous owner. We listened to some of our Allman Brothers cassette tapes for a day in our house system, and the unit sounded great. We cleaned the unit, cleaned the heads, and for good measure, demagnetized the heads. We did not change the belts or do any other service to the unit.
We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
