For sale, we have a very clean Sony PCM-R500 DAT Recorder for restoration. The unit turns on, and the display is bright. The door does not open, and when turned on the display reads "CLOSE" and then changes to "CAUTION".
Physically, there are a few scratches on the top edge of the faceplate, otherwise it is in very good to excellent shape. The top, sides, and bottom are in excellent shape with no dents, and only minor blemishes, if any.
We don't have the original box for this unit, but we take packaging and shipping seriously. We spare no expense and use heavy duty boxes, several inches of polyethylene foam on all sides of the unit, and use water activated, fiber reinforced tape on all seams.
