Sansui QRX-5500 w/ extremely rare QBL-100 Wired Remote and JVC CD-4 Demodulator. Once we cleaned and services all the units, we had a great time using them in our house system. We played around with the remote, hooked up the JVC demodulator to our Technics SL1200, and just had a good time with it. This is a large piece and it sounds great. The green glow of the lights, with all four meters going, and polished silver knobs makes this a gorgeous unit.

The Receiver was purchased from the original owner. The owner supplied receipts of servicing done on the unit in 1982. The Receiver, remote and the JVC CD-4 phono stage were all originally purchased and used by the original owner. Included documents are the Service manual for the Sansui, owner's manual for the JVC demodulator, with the adjustment record, and various other documents.  When we got the  receiver it was in good shape, but it needed a good cleaning. We removed it from the cabinet, detailed the inside, the rear panel, faceplate, and finished up with a good polishing of all the knobs. The Unit was fully tested and serviced.  All potentiometers and switches were cleaned and then treated with deoxit f5 and d5 respectively. Bulbs were replaced as needed. We decided not to go with LED bulbs on this unit as they just did not look as good as the incandescent bulbs. The remote control was noisy, so it was taken apart, cleaned and treated with Deoxit F5, it now works as it should. The following adjustments were done during servicing: level meter adjustment, the regulated power supply board adjustment, bias adjustment, and DC offset adjustment.  Everything is in perfect working order, and the Sansui is in very good physical condition.  There is a blemish on the right side of the wood case on the bottom, but overall the case is in very good condition.  The faceplate has some blemishes and fine scratches, but it is in very good condition as well.

Shipping is included to the lower 48 in the purchase price. The receiver will be shipped in an oversized box with polystyrene foam used on all sides of the unit. The Remote and demodulator will most likely ship in a second box. Great care will be put into packing these units. We put a lot of work into these vintage units, and we are passionate about the gear that we sell. We do all that we can to make sure that they ship safely to their new owner.
