From its original owner, we have a super clean Hafler XL-600 Power Amplifier. The most powerful of all Hafler amplifiers ever made, the unit was fully checked out on our bench and is in perfect working order. The filter caps are in good shape with no signs of leakage and all tested within spec. For good measure, we changed out the capacitors on the relay protection board with Nichicon caps. We also replaced the transistors on the board as well. The unit comes from a friend of ours who purchased it through me in the early 90's when I was installing Rockford Fosgate amps, as Hafler and Rockford were owned by the same company then. It was used to drive a pair of Canton speakers. It had been in storage for the last ten years or so. We initially brought up the voltage slowly on a variac just to help reform the capacitors. We ran the amp in our house system for two weeks where it performed beautifully.
Physically the unit is in very good shape. There are some scratches and blemishes on the unit, but overall the unit is very clean and presents itself very well. See attached images for further details.
The unit will ship in its original box and will be double boxed in order to help preserve the original. Polyethylene foam will be added to the original box to further protect the amp.
